Mark each morning when you could participate and still complete the rest of the day without a rushed airport connection. Keep the receipt and written cancellation notice. Your accommodation and onward flight are separate contracts, so do not assume the flight refund pays those costs.

Build an enjoyable ground-based alternative

Reserve a museum visit, a suitable walk or a road excursion you would value even if no balloon flies. Avoid a plan that depends on reaching an unfamiliar ridge before dawn without verified access and transport.
